NEW JOB & A NEW SITE!

I freely admit I won't be posting here for a little while as I've been working on a TSWblog for The Secret World and in addition, just landed a new job!

I'll still be playing, WoW, though, so the occasional post might pop up, but it won't be on a consistent regular basis while I'm trying to get things started in work and on the new blog.

THE GOLDRUSH CONTINUES...

I'm on fire!!!

Started the week with 21K and am sitting on the cusp of busting the 50K mark! I've hit records this week, by hitting the 25, 30 and 40K marks this week and to be honest, I barely noticed 30K as I raked in 20K in the first two days!

20K from Jewelcrafting in 2 days!

Okay, so it's definitely been a while since I've posted, so forgive me -- moving takes a lot of out you in addition to searching for a job / new career!

This one will be a quick post to catch you up on what I've doing.

As you may remember, I had just reached Level 75 on my second alt and was considering Jewelcrafting (JC) for my next max'd level profession. Well, I can safely say it was the right choice!

In the last two days, I have woken up to over 10K in sales each morning! How, you ask? By making the most out of what I'm doing. Starting with...

GETTING GAMIFIED: A Brief Survey for Gamers - URGENT!

I am working on a proposal to a major global corporation regarding what is missing from their stores, for gamers. Please share this link with as many gamers as you know, as I need to gather information / statistics on gamers to bring in my report!

1) How many computers do you own? What types? Desktops? Laptops?

2) How many monitors do you own?

3) What other computer accessories do you buy specifically related to gaming (mice, keyboards, external hard drives, etc.)? Where do you buy them from?

4) What other technology products do you tend to buy? Cell phones? Tablets?

Thank you so much! Hoping it will help me land a new full-time career!

YATTA! MAXING ANOTHER PROFESSION @ 75

Now that my second alt has FINALLY reached Level 75, it is time to max another profession (I have already max'd Tailoring and Enchanting on my 85 main).

I decided to choose Jewelcrafting and Mining, despite not wanting to make this specific alt my "fastest flying" (310% speed).

GETTING GAMIFIED: WHY THE CORPORATE WORLD SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO GAMERS

In the last few months, I have redefined my chosen career path and have been busy networking and exploring new opportunities that may have been previously disregarded. I have made new, exciting network connections that only spurn my desire to explore my options further. Despite the process not being foreign or "new" to me (that of a job search), things are definitely different this time around. I could attribute it to my ever-increasing age; which, according to most, brings growth in wisdom and knowledge. I could attribute it to my lovely fiancee and say she has finally grounded me so that I can root myself in and "get it work." However, I feel that it is very simply put how and why little things are different and better. I got "gamified."

MY FAVORITE GOLD-FLIP METHODOLOGY

MOVING IS STRESSFUL! I haven’t been able to sign on to WoW for more than a ten-minute scan while I run around my apartment like a chicken with its head cut off. I almost had a meltdown, this morning, when I could not locate my work shoes! Fear not, followers; I found the shoes (and my sanity)!

I was able to remain a little connected to WoW and the Auction House while I was moving, thanks in large part to the WoW Mobile App for Android.

Thanks to this app and my email notifications from The Undermine Journal, I was able to procure several of my favorite gold-flip items and make some profit while I was not logged in for three days! I’m happy to tell you exactly how I did it, however; I’m going to say “stack of bandages” in case any readers are on my server! Sorry…I like this flip a bit too much to reveal its identity but will tell you how I do it and how you can with other items that will quickly become your favorite!

See you soon!

THE COOL HWHIP: How I Earned 8 Heirlooms in 3 Days...

In just under a week, my first Guest Post will be appearing on justmytwocopper.org (JMTC) and it’s another new #N4N series! I know my three readers are on the edge of their seat, eagerly awaiting the debut of:

“THE COOL HWHIP”

The Cool H.W.H.I.P. is a little homage to our pal, Stewie Griffin, where I’ll occasionally blog about How/What Have I Played in recent days. This will be the type of post that appears on JMTC on 7/19, where I discuss how I’ve used a “system” of sorts to learn, and grow my WoW experience.

Today, I’ll be writing about how I got eight additional exp-granting heirlooms in just under three days.

THE OUTLAND LOOPHOLE

I remember the first time I got bored in Outland. Interestingly enough, it was the first time I was in Outland.

I was trying as best as I could to grind my way through in order to reach Level 68. It was the required level to reach in order to train Cold Weather Flying, the (quite essential) ticket to accomplishing quests in Northrend.

The point of this post, is that there is always a loophole in WoW; something that has not been discovered that is in a yet-to-be-nerfed state, where, the WoW gamer can profit and benefit greatly by taking advantage of this loophole.

NO LONGER BITTER: HOW I DISCOVERED MY 1ST GOLD FLIP/GOLD MINE

When I first began questing in Outlands, I became very bitter once I got to Gaining Mirren’sTrust and realized I had to go all the way back to the Blasted Lands in order to grab the required Nethergarde Bitter to complete the quest. It was this fated moment that led to my first “Auction House Light Bulb” going off over my (real-life) head.

GATHERERS EARN GOLD; GRINDING GOLD EARLY ON...

So, here’s where you’re at: you’re successfully leveling your first toon from 1-55 to unlock your Death Knight, who will (or won’t, if you choose to create your own model or follow another) eventually become your main.

So you’re rolling this Paladin (again, if you stick with my choices) up to Level 55. You have no intention of starting him/her up as a bag-maker in the tailoring profession, because, let’s face it; you’re going to stop playing the Pally for quite a while once your Death Knight becomes available.

So what can you do during these levels if you’re not concerned about leveling professions? What are some of my tips and tricks to earning gold during this leveling process? Well, it can all come down to one word: GATHER.

BEGINNING AT THE BEGINNING...HOW TO GROW YOUR BANKROLL

Seeing as the majority of the blogs I follow are written for the WoW gamer that has several, if not all, professions max’d, people are surprised at how well I’ve done at building my bankroll with only one Level 85 Main currently at my disposal.

The trick has been developing a smart rotation to ensure I’m not wasting anything and that I’m gaining as much gold as I can by utilizing what I know and have learned, so far. I always try and find the smartest way to do something, which, fortunately, seems to always be the most valuable.

Beginning at the beginning…

KNOW YOUR ROLE (and SHUT YOUR MOUTH)!

Let’s get one thing straight: your goal—your only goal—in this game is to make gold. Just like in real life; it all breaks down to “the money.” Want better gear? Need gold. Want a new mount? Need gold. Want to repair your equipment after multiple deaths? NEED GOLD!

I’ve been where you’re at, right now, sitting like Jerry Maguire on the phone with Cuba Gooding Jr., screaming, “SHOW ME THE MONEY!” Well, I will over time; today, I will show you a few smart ideas I utilized to get my bankroll rolling…

NEWBIE, or NOT NEWBIE?

Have you been made fun of for being “new” to World of Warcraft? Or for being oblivious to something that, according to others making fun of you, you’re an idiot for not knowing? Have you been called a “noobie” or “n00b” and wondered why the idiots making fun of you cannot spell?

Relax! It is going to be okay. You can quickly find out, here, if you are a newbie/newb, or a “noobie”/”n00b.”

TOP 5: THINGS 4 NEWBIES to AVOID!

Now that you are in the wide world of Azeroth, have you noticed there are things you should be avoiding?

There are the NPCs (Non-Player Character) that have the fear-instilling “skull & crossbones” in their level notification area, indicating that if you enter battle, you’re sure to be killed. There are Horde camps (or Alliance camps, if you roll a Horde toon) that have guards that will snuff you out if you venture in their proximity. And then there is real life…

#N4N is excited to release our first “TOP 5” blog post!!!

TOP 5: THINGS 4 NEWBIES to AVOID!
1.       HACKERS
2.       NINJAS
3.       GOLD-SELLING SITES
4.       POWER-LEVELING SITES
5.       DBs

WTH DO I START?! DPS...

If you were to log into your account for the first time and zoom out as far as the eye could see on your map, you still would have no clue how big the world of Azeroth really is: literally, figuratively and metaphorically.

-          LITERALLY: The world of Azeroth is HUGE: just running around your starter zone before hitting Level 20 (and gaining a mount for faster travel) takes TIME. It takes time to run from one quest to the next.
-          FIGURATIVELY: If you do not enjoy doing things trial-by-error, learning on-the-go, or consistently evolving your gameplay based on trends (hot strategies) and changes (hotfixes, patches and expansions), WoW probably isn’t for you. If you do enjoy those things, you’re in for a treat. You will learn, first, about the class/race you choose. Then, your world of knowledge will grow exponentially…
-          METAPHORICALLY: Once you learn the literal world (how to navigate around WoW) and the figurative world (learning classes, races and professions) you will begin learning metaphorically—the stage I am in—where you develop your own strategies based on how you like to play. This is the most fun; where you truly develop your own gameplay experience!

WHO is IMPERIEXO?

GM IMPERIEXO (85 Frost DK)

I began playing World of Warcraft in the Fall of 2008 while living a year away from home in the sand and casino-filled city of sin, Las Vegas, Nevada.

I made the decision to invest in World of Warcraft after finding out that a shot of Patron in a Vegas bar cost me fifteen dollars—before tip. I quickly realized I would run out of money if I was going out every night to either a bar or a casino.

I read that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was a few months from hitting the stores, checked out a trailer on YouTube, and I was sold.
